Michael Schumacher Hero Drive – 1990 World Sportscars

Going back and enjoying a young star who nobody knew before he was joining F1 and becoming one of the best in History.

A year before moving to Formula 1, Michael Schumacher along his F1 rival Heinz-Harald Frentzen, both were driving in World Supercars back in 1990.

Michael Schumacher finished 5th in the championship that season in World Supercars, winning the finale at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez driving for Sauber-Mercedes C11.

His manager Willy Weber just before the start of the season in F1 back in 1991, he offered Michael Schumacher to Eddie Jordan for a seat for Jordan Team.

After he called Eddie, the Jordan team boss didn’t knew who Michael Schumacher was, but Weber explained and Eddie gave a chance to the young German who later became an F1 legend.
