An event had been held back in 2003 in Stuttgart where the Mercedes manufacturer base is – where Ralf Schumacher did a demo lap in front of his fans.
He drove his FW24, the car of 2002 season – those years were difficult to match Michael Schumacher with his Ferrari.
However, it was BMW Williams and McLaren-Mercedes who tried to stop Michael’s dominance but it wasn’t enough as Ferrari was shinning.
Ralf’s team-mate at BMW Williams was Juan Pablo Montoya who was known as a great fighter on a race track.
Ralf Schumacher managed to win five races during his six years at Williams team, he also took five pole positions.
He never won for any other team that he competed in F1, he managed to take only one pole position driving for Toyota back in 2007 at the Japanese GP.
He retired from F1 back in 2007, he later competed at Deutche Tourenwagen Masters, he spent five years driving for Muckesport and HTA team.
