The best rivalry in history of the sport: Schumacher vs Hakkinen

Flashback to the best rivalry of history of Formula 1, Michael Schumacher vs Mika Hakkinen, on track they were the greatest rivalry but outside of it, they were very good friends.

Mika Hakkinen was a man to be respected as Michael Schumacher said the same, they both were great champions back then.

Those years, the battle between them, will go down as the best rivaly of the sport, absolutely the greatest ever.

However, Mika Hakkinen is a two-time world champion driving for McLaren team back in 1998 and 1999, he also had Ayrton Senna as a team-mate back in 93′.

Then David Coulthard replaced Ayrton Senna at McLaren, together David and Mika remained at the team for years until Mika retired at the end of 2001.

On the other hand Schumacher is seven time world champion, he won it twice driving for Benetton team then joined Ferrari.

While he was at Scuderia Ferrari, the great battle started with him and Mika in 1998, but he was unable to match Mika in 98′ and 99′.

In 2000 finally Schumacher wins the title for the Italian manufacturer, then he dominated the sport for another four years until he retired in 2006.
